The SEBs Pakistan team met Mr. Wolfgang Hesse of GIZ Pakistan during SDPI’s pre-COP29 seminar, discussing climate finance, carbon markets, and collaborative initiatives to strengthen Pakistan’s low-carbon transition.

The SEBs Pakistan team  had the priveledge of meeting Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan. During the meeting, we discussed the future of carbon markets in Pakistan, and he provided invaluable insights and guidance on advancing SEBs Pakistan and promoting sustainable practices.

At the National Youth Climate Summit, Team SEBs Pakistan engaged with Mr. Muhammad Ali Haider Amin Kazi from NDRMF, discussing our vision for carbon finance and climate resilience. His expertise in HSE and administration offered practical advice to enhance our impact and navigate challenges in promoting sustainability in Pakistan.

We met Mr. Ashiq Nawaz, Director of the Federal EPA, to discuss the EPA's contributions to enhancing environmental health in Islamabad and explore collaborative opportunities for sustainable urban development. We look forward to working together on impactful initiatives for a cleaner, healthier city.

SEBs Pakistan had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Saqib Raza Aslam, Secretary of the Food Department KP, to explore sustainable practices in the food sector. We discussed strategies for resource management and reducing environmental impact, paving the way for a greener, more resilient future for KP’s food industry.

SEBs Pakistan had the honor of meeting Mr. Imad Ali Lohani, Secretary of the Population Welfare Department KP, to discuss how we can support sustainable development and well-being in the province. This insightful exchange explored collaborations in community health, environmental sustainability, and resource management, aligning with KP’s welfare goals for a greener and prosperous future.

SEBs Pakistan had the privilege of meeting Mr. Masood Younas, Secretary of TMTD KP, to discuss transitioning the province’s transport system towards sustainable practices. Together, we explored strategies to reduce emissions, enhance fuel efficiency, and integrate green technologies, paving the way for cleaner, more efficient mass transit in KP.

Together, we explored strategies to reduce environmental impact, promote green practices, and empower future generations through strengthened industry-academia linkages.

SEBs Pakistan successfully hosted the seminar “Unlocking Carbon Finance: Pakistan’s Road to Sustainable Development” at IIUI, featuring expert speakers who discussed the role of carbon finance in advancing sustainability. The event, in collaboration with the GYM Club IIUI, brought together key stakeholders to explore Pakistan’s potential in the global carbon market.
